anyone else been
following this?
seriously, this show is fucking fantastic. it literally eats alive the walking dead, and even game of thrones. it's truly brilliant and if you haven't seen it so far, you're missing out. but DO NOT try to watch it from anywhere but the start.

but yeah heh. just my opinion =]
Or shoot a person, only to injure that person. and then they jump up and attack again. Dude, shoot until they are dead!! The guy is a master wounder.
Awful characters, plot holes so big I could walk through them, heavy-handed emotional drama that honestly made me laugh out loud at one point, awful acting, and, most inexcusably, shamelessly lazy writing.
God. Never again.
i need to check out hannibal though. my only problem with anything regarding hannibal as a character is that it 1. doesn't live up to the books, and 2. doesn't live up to hopkins.
I vastly prefer the show actually...
I'm gonna go watch a few episodes of this. Good telly is such an addiction haha.
Joke post of the year. Congrats.
What? Even the review of the newest GoT season in the new york times said the same as i did, that its all talk. On the other hand, the NyT had a positive review for this show, the Following, which is excellent. Get off your high horse, LOL
Thats the point!! It's not about action! It's about the politics of Westeros and the betrayal and adventures and brutal world the characters have to go through! either way, sorry to derail the thread of The Following.
One of the more brain-dead things I've heard. Thats like saying, "books are boring because they're nothing but words."
Of course it's mostly talk, it's a show about politics! If you really want to be bored, read the book. It's a book about politics.
As to GIR, I enjoyed the books as well, perhaps a bit more than the show. However I think that the producers and GRRMartin are doing a fantastic job of creating a show from them, by changing the material somewhat to fit the format. I like pretty much every change they've made thus far, and although I think I prefer the way things are in the books, it makes sense for the show.
Honestly, if you find you can't sit through 45 minutes of a show without fighting or sex because it's 'too much talk', you need to read a book and put down the games.

As for the following, I don't get the love. It's a show about cardboard characters pulled from bad horror mystery crime novels making awful, awful decisions.
When the entirety of your plot hinges on your supposedly intelligent, trained characters making terrible decisions, you've lost me. I liked the first couple episodes, as things began to ramp up, but somewhere around episode 4 the show became very uneven. The early episodes had psychological trauma, but in the middle of the season that simply became gore, which is boring.
To each his own, I suppose. I'm going to go watch hannibal and hope against hope that it's as good as the hopkins version, or the books. I loved the books.
There really is no comparing the two. They are on a completely different level from one another. I don't even know why I'm posting about this lol
also, great finale =]
