Hello boys and girls!
Starting my sketchbook with a new workflow i'm trying out. Doing my block in Maya and sending it to Zbrush for dynameshing and then refining it.
I'm doing this because I have serious trouble getting the directions of the basic planes correct when doing the block in Zbrush. So it's a practice workflow for me more than anything else
Comments are welcome! My goal with the thread is to grow as an artist, and to have fun as well of course

Been busy with school stuff lately. My goal here is to make more baroque pieces and assemble them all in one scene.
I'm really interested to see what else you do for the Baroque themed models. Makes me want to start doing studies of baroque sculpture!
You mean you would like to have the horse sculpt with wings? I'm afraid I didn't do anything else than a basic horse model as a base for all the planes with the feather projections. So I would have to model two sets of wings for that. Maybe ill add that to my todo list and upload it here . Sounds like fun actually

Thanks! I've been so busy with school vfx stuff during the spring so I haven't done more pieces yet . But now i'm all good to go again! I will need at least two columns for my scene so i'll probably continue with that tomorrow
Checked out your bust model/sculpt btw and it looks great!
Been really busy with vfx stuff at school but now i'm back producing another asset. I didn't continue the baroque stuff unfortunately .
Here are my first WIP pictures. Model done with uvs, gonna export it to zbrush and do some surfacing and then export displacements and normals for that. The concept is my own wich did add to the total time it took to get to this point. Spent about 1 week so far.

Started on a fantasy sword a couple of weeks ago. Didn't like the first 10 designs so I scrapped them, and tonight I started with a new one. Felt like sharing the first wip for this design. Comments are welcome
Found a little bit of time here and there to work on the sword. So like half a day total later ended up with something like this (I welcome comments if you spot something I can do better next time):
Tris: 1420
Texture: 512x2048
Thanks alot dude! You made my day
But please don't hesitate to tell me if anythings off or look plain bad! It's only for the greater cause to make better stuff.
A couple of speed paints to study animals. I do this very rarely but I find it fun and extremely useful
