ESCAPE-Rabbit out the hat - Rabbit Hole
This is our first time doing a contest on polycount.com and we are excited to show what we can do in the 10 weeks we have.
Have you ever wondered what could be inside of a magicians hat, and how does he pull the rabbit out? Well we have a thought, what if the rabbit wanted out and everything inside the hat was after the rabbit. He is desperate to escape and wants to be pulled out for those few seconds of spotlight and freedom from the dark world he is in. We are going to create a scene of the rabbit running to the hand of the magician which will be coming through some sort of portal through the sky.
The environment will be very dark and twisted with an Alice In Wonderland style. You can see the ref sheet below and the really bad and rough design of what we are thinking of... except darker. If time allow's, we would like to hand paint all the texture's so we can give the scene a unique look and it will be a great learning experience for us. If you have any links, input, or suggestions on how to hand paint textures please let us know as it will help us out a lot for this environment.
