Hey guys, first time poster here.
Though I'd share my progress on our laters assignment for school, a low poly (2500 tris) environment.
My idea is to make a small canyon with a few trees and bushes, and a simple river/pond. I'm heavily influenced, borderline ripoff, by this guy:
http://vimeo.com/28959265 , and I'm trying to imitate his style to a certain degree.
This is what I've managed to do thus far, ~3 hours of work, concept and modelling.
Any and all feedback is extremely appreciated!

rogueNoodle: Yeah, wow, thanks for the tip! His stuff was pretty neat. Since we have to present the final product in a game engine, it'll have to be real-time. But yes, you are right about the vertex colouring! Thanks for answering=)
EDIT: I will add a few cloud meshes attached with string, that way I think I can get away with making a square skydome and make pretend its the inside of a box.
With a little help I've managed to import the scene into UDK, and this is how it looks as of now. The light is done in haste and not very planned, but this is what I've got. All materials were created in UDK as well. Any tips to improve the scene, helpful links etc are greatly appreciated!
(2493 tris, for the interested)
