Skleletal Mesh out of Characters Mesh

Hello Guys!
I hope someone can help me out with my Problem!?
Info first:I´am working with Maya 2010 and the newest version of UDK, so i can´t working with the fbx format.
In that case i´ve to working with axmain or actorx.
Problem:I created a character in maya and riggid it with all that stuff it needed (joints,freeze transf.,manipulators etc.)
In Maya is all fine, but if i imported it into UDK the joints are completly out of the characters mesh.
I can´t figured out where the Problem is.
Maybe someone can me explaine the proper sequence how to rig a character for UDK!?
