Hey guys, need some help. I sculpted some wood beams in Zbrush and exported them into 3ds max 2012 for projection mapping in render to texture. Normals bake out fine but i'm having trouble getting the AO lightmap to look right.
The first image below has black shadows on the sides. I tried a few other settings and got better results on the second image below but still have these black streaks of lines (circled in red).
Skylight, mental ray, ray traced options didn't give me good results as this. I also played with a few render and environment control settings but no luck. I like the detail outcome but just want to get rid of the black parts.
Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.
This is such a headache to figure out.
