TheZaxer polycounter lvl 9
Just to subscribe to the contest already, i created the thread. I am planning on creating a female character, for the first time. I still dont know what exactly i want to do with my scene, if I even want to create a scene or just a character only. The only thing I know now is that I want to push realism probably, and that she eventually will be posed as running away/escaping, from something really scary. If i have time left I might model the scary factor as well. I will post some WIP later this day i guess.

Well, here is my base. Created it from basemesh. Didnt upload the feed since I will give her boots anyways. Seemed fun to sculpt the rest of the body for practice though. As you can see I do not want to use any comic stylish proportions or whatever, I want to aim for a more real-life feel. Next I will start giving her some clothing, I want to give her some future soldier clothing, not really sci-fi since thats not my thing really. Hope you like it, feedback is highly appreciated, especially at this moment, since I wont be able to work for a couple of day now.

For your scene, any ideas so far? You said she's going to be a soldier, were you thinking maybe escaping from behind enemy lines or as a hero escaping with a VIP?

    Looking forward to more.

Thanks! Well I have one global idea, and that is that she's living in a post-appocolyptic world. She is one of the soldiers that came to rescue some possible survivors, but got herself into trouble instead, so she has to run for her life. However, depending on how much time I have left, I will decide how far I can take the scene. This is the first time for me to create a complete in-game scene, so dont really know how to plan this really. I want her to run for something, a zombie-chimp, a zombie, or a dog or whatever, this depends on the time i have left (i am not a really good rigger so this takes up a lot of time, especially since I also have to do my schoolprojects). I guess the staging will be with a little humor in it. I will create a small scene, with some burning trashcans, broken streetlights, debree, etc, to give the feel of a recently abbandoned/destroyed city. I will block this out as soon as I finished her. As long a she remains as the main focus.

Sounds cool, the city streets thing jumps out at me. Maybe creating a back alley chase can keep the scene tight and using simple modular building pieces for quick variety. Here you could use a lot of the trashcans, debris, and lights.
