Hey everyone,I thought id post some things im making for a game that me and a friend are working on.I plan on making alot of different props, houses, and environment peices and Ill try to post any new assets as i go.I hope you guys enjoy!
The rocks have good form and you've modelled them out nicely according to the cracks although the actual texture is lacking. I feel as if it's low rez and lacking normal map depth. Re-visit the diffuse or post up some flats for the rock, that'll give a better examination and we should be able to help you make those rocks pop more.
Tobbo - Yes,its just diffuse at the moment,But i am going to make a spec and normal map later down the road.Ill post the updates once i make them.
bcottage - Well basically,I did a really simple block out in 3ds max, just to get the main shape and form, then i dynameshed it in zbrush and went to town.In the beginning sculpts, there was alot of trial and error with the style i wanted.but once i got a good flow down,i wrote down the brushes i used and used the previous rocks as reference for each one.Lastly,i took the rocks into retopo, and retopologized them.
Mr Bear - Sure thing.
One thing to keep in mind,im using a tileing texture ontop of the model in unity,as well as using a snow shader to cover the tops in snow.
I would throw more polys around the wheel. You have 10 sides right now...maybe 16 would be better? It would look good if you put some straps wrapped around the handles, just for grip.
Thanks.I dont really feel like uping the poly count on the wheels though lol,it wont be in motion anyways.but i like grip idea.
Regardless of weather the cart will be in motion or not, the "wheel" could use some more polys. It's not a matter of if the cart moves or not, its a matter of does this look like it could work.. is it practical. A wheel with 10 sides is not practical in any way, shape or form.
