Posting Images Within Forum Post

Hello All. Hopefully I'm in the right part of the forums.
Question is simple. I would like to know how people are able to insert images directly into a forum post, instead of it being an attachment?

Can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

I think that you need to upload the image to a host and then simply link it using the insert image button.

Hatchiman is correct. To expand on that, this is what it would look like before you hit submit:

if you have a image host (I use flickr) you can upload images and copy the url. If you have a FTP you can upload the image yourself and copy the url. All what's left is to use the
