so basically once you are in panel loop mode theres no way to effectively use dynamesh and a panel And keep its polygroups ? you are essentailly forced into subdiv level mode ? could be worse , but just trying to confirm there really isnt a way.
Polygroups should always be done last. They're based on your verts, so they're not going to survive if you do a complete retopology like Dynamesh (they don't even survive if you create them on a higher subdivision level and step down).
If you mean to create panels and preserve cleaner loops, it might be better to work with extractions or do them once you're sure you wont have to dynamesh. Otherwise, use them to create the surface you want and then say goodbye to them.
