Finished the base mesh for my 3d body modelling module, the base mesh is ready to put into zbrush and start sculpting i feel but any coments and criticisms are welcome. i have looked into the anatomy of the female to try adn better my understanding of hwo the edges will flow around the model to follow the muscular structure.

trying to add in the subtle forms, at the moment rather than finesse and detail.
C&C welcome
There is no real change from the top of the skull towards the bottom of the neck (side view) this might be fixed when you rotate the head back.
Knees look slightly to low, or the lower leg is slightly too short.
Keep it coming
THe ones for the arms and the angle of the legs form the side are changed that way as the figure in the reference is bent over almost as if she is falling forward. i modelled the base mesh to match this reference and have then purposely straightened her up inside zbrush so she will be easier to rig if i decide to animate her.
Cheers for the paintover il get working on the rest of the tips you gave me later mate
C&C welcome guys
Update with SSS and Normal no spec yet
In UDK looking okay need to fix the LP hair though as its a bit too see through at the moment.
C&C welcomee
Slow down...
See what you did wrong and change it before you move on to detailing.
Newer artists are so quick to jump into details and texturing that they overlook fundamental flaws in the model.
To be frank, no one is impressed by a poor base model, no matter how much detail is on it. All they see is wasted time.
Delete your textures, and go back and really nail your forms and posture. Get everything to flow and be accurate in anatomy.
It's like robotics, you can put the most realistic looking skin on a robot, but if something underneath is wrong, it all looks wrong.
agreed, I am also starting to do characters and i did the same thing as you. i would get so excited and just sculpt and add and add more subdivisions as fast as i could to " add detail" in the end my work was bad, and looked like a blob, like Vertrucio said, take your time. go back to maybe your first or second subdivision, work out the proportions of her body and face. her face is a bit scary. move stuff around, get a good feel for her and move on up one sub and work on that until you are happy.
ps: your caution nudity should go on the title and the beggining of your posts, not after the nudity has happened. LOL :poly142::poly142:
