Hello,
So the problem is that i paint my terrain with my base custom texture, it looks ok but when i hit Generate Surface Texture the grid is back on my terrain. It seems to be like an overlay texture above my base texture
And I know that at some point it worked , so i thought i was a bug. downloaded
a fresh sdk , made another terrain and again i have the same problem,
i just can't get away from the grid.
My process -
I create the terrain , assign a new material, paint with that material -hit generate: the grid is back...
I followed everything on the documentation step by step...it worked once. Now that goddamn grid just doesn't want to dissapear.

you can change the grid texture
(as you can see in my post....after layers of painting, and putting my own textures
the generate surface screwed me)
anyway i've installed an older one (3.4.3) and the generate surface works as it should.
Now it works even if i don't paint a layer and only change the default material.
