I have a good grasp on modeling, and modeling game assets. My only problem right now is modeling around a pre-existing game asset, say a male Nord from Skyrim. My question is How on Earth do you model around tight areas around the underarm and the fingers? There, I am at a loss. :poly127: Any replies to this question would be dandy to me and anyone else with the same problem. Forgive me if the answer is obvious and I've missed it.

EDIT: Also, any moderators reading, feel free to move this thread if improperly placed. -_-'

Method #1: Use the "Conform" compound object (if you're using 3DS Max - otherwise, use whatever equivalent your package has).

Method #2: (More likely, as it gives much greater control, etc) Simply move the verts into position as theyare. If you're making the high poly for baking things, then simply position the verts on a low poly cage, then amp up the polycount and add the rest of the detail.
