Need monitor - help me please

Hi there.
I´m about to buy a new PC and I also need a monitor.
I´ve read about the differences between IPS an TN panels. Looks like IPS is the way to go, right? Are there affordable IPS monitors that are not slow as hell? I mean, just in case I want to play a game (very unlikely, but who knows).
So, let´s say I want to spend 200 / 270USD max. I could spend more, but I´d also welcome spending way less than 200 / 270USD.
I want 22" (there are 21,5 and 23 but basically I want the product width not to exceed ~51cm)
So, TN? IPS`And what about LED? Are there usual suspects for 22"?
PLease let me know what you know about monitors. Any advice welcome
