I've recently become a big fan of the Walking Dead TV series. I watched series 1 and 2 over the course of about a week and I'm loving 3 so far I wanted to make a few survivors, which was great as it really ties in with the type of characters I love to challenge myself with and the type of games I like to play.
One is a 'Rick' esk survivor and the other a generic woman. I also wanted to push myself in a few areas such as my hair skills, so I thought I'd go the whole hog and give him a beard. Unfortunately through doing this it seems to have turned into fan art for something else Its not hard to see what but regardless of similarities I'm pleased with the results.
They were both great fun to make! Both were sculpted in ZBrush, low poly model (about 35k including hair) in 3ds Max, textures 95% hand painted in Photoshop and rendered in Marmoset. The texture sheets have had the padding removed for better presentation.
Larger versions and lots more images can be found on my cghub page or website.
Seems like there could be stretching on the UV's.
Something looks strange about the rips in the jeans. I would expect to see flesh but it looks like jeans under the jeans. Not sure if that blue geometric shape on her shirt is intentional.
Agreed with ^ RMeeks - on the jeans - shouldn't his skin be showing through the holes? Unless of coarse he's wearing another pair of pants underneath...
but great job on the faces - really awesome and lifelike
Thank you for the replies, glad you like them Regarding the jeans, I went for a heavy shadow inside the rips but yes... it wouldnt have hurt to put some skin showing.
