I thought I would post in thread, but not sure how much response I'd get since its for pre existing owners.
The current hardware key node system has turned me off. Not only are you limited to 1 computer versus the actual user. I have encountered numerous people whose system fingerprint changes through no fault of their own and they are SOL until they get a response from CS.
I mentioned this to a Marmoset rep through email and either that part was noted, in progress/underwraps, or outright ignored.
To Marmoset Developers..
Why don't you use an online distribution system like Steam, M$ store, or other? So something where you do not have to waste your time and money having to answer emails for license reissues. Where you can have a more satisfied customer base who can use whatever system they are on as long as they are logged into their distribution account?
I truly believe people would pay a bit more for this option of what in all sense, would then be a floating license. As it goes without saying you would have your final profit reduced from each sale through the online distributor.
You could then focus on your new version and not have to figure out a system lock implementation for Mac and Linux as mentioned as possible new platforms for 2.0. Especially if you use Steam which shortly will support all three.
In the meantime, people like me who do not want to deal with the headache or cost of having a separate license for each system they use have to seek more unstraightfoward alternatives like learning cryengine just to render 1 item at a time versus a scene.

Just my 2 cents.
