Zbrush Memory Error Unable to read virtual memory file

So like a dumbass I don't have any real back up file. All I was doing was deleting tools that I had no use for and it crashed on me, and now my only file will not open. I do have an .OBJ with some of her geo on it but this has set me back a lot, especially since I don't have a lot of time to work on it. *sigh*

Does any one know how to fix this?

don't use 4r4 :X

yeah it sucks, you have to free plenty of space on c: but even then it can happen that it crashes, so you could turn the undohiostory way lower, but even then it can still crash because of this

I wont be able to open the file in an older version so, Do you think if i went up to 4r5 that would potential fix the issue?

if they fixed the bug, then yes - i feared installing 4.5 because i don't want to introduce more bugs ^^

I started saving like a maniac after upgrading from the most stable version which was ZBrush 4. I lost quite a few pieces due to this same error.

Haven't had a lot of crashes recently in 4r5-6, they've been really stable for me. I remember some of the older ones after 4 had a lot of problems like this. The files are pretty much toast, unfortunately, though it would be worth a shot to try a newer version. Zbrush isn't too crashy, but when it happens you're in a world of hurt, I can't recall finding a solution to bring back broken files.
