Not quite photo-realistic yet, but I'm actually pretty happy with it.
I've always found the eyes to be the hardest bit to nail down on a character, so I took today to isolate it and put this together. With proper morph targets / real animation, I think this'd hold up nicely.
Also, needs proper eyelashes

but on first sight it is really very natural. Especially the movement helps with that.
The upper eyelid should have distinct wrinkles leading to the orbit of the eye. Also, the lower lashes appear to be heading up towards the eye from the lower lid; it's a bit hard to tell with the blonde hairs, though.
I can't quite tell from the images you've posted whether the cornea bulges out from the round eyeball, nor whether the colored iris is on a more modest curve behind the clear cornea. (Granted, these details are only apparent in an extreme close-up. )
I think I've addressed most of the issues - it's still far from perfect, but it's reached a level where I'm pleased with it as a test. I've got the animation in the renderfarm now, but here's a still of where it's ended up.
Again, thanks for the feedback!
Much happier with this version.
