[/FONT][FONT="]POSITION OVERVIEW[/FONT]
[FONT="]The Pre-Vis Artist creates versions of sequences and shots that help support the director’s vision via appropriate use of camera lenses, movement, composition, staging, motion blocking and editing. Pre-Vis Artists are tasked with producing effective visual solutions to support both the story and technical requirements of the film.[/FONT]
[FONT="]DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES[/FONT][FONT="]

· [FONT="]Work with the Director to create Pre-Vis versions of shots and sequences that translate the Director’s vision via appropriate use of composition, lens choice, camera animation, and character blocking[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Work within the cinematic style chosen for the production[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Work with the Layout Lead and Director to provide visual solutions to support the requirements of the story[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Work with Pre-Vis Lead and Art Director to design and build simple schematics for set models[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Perform preliminary camera blocking to verify set feasibility for sequence needs[/FONT]
[FONT="]REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE[/FONT]· [FONT="]3-5 years of feature film experience as a Pre-Vis Artist[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Completed post-secondary education classical or 3D animation, art fundamentals, or other relevant area of study[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Excellent knowledge of cinematic staging, camera technology and visual storytelling[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Strong Maya skills are required[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Ability to identify creative or technical difficulties with sequences [/FONT]
· [FONT="]Must be proficient in modeling, rigging, shading[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Excellent communication and organizational skills[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Willingness to accept direction, work well under pressure, multitask, be flexible and open to changes[/FONT]
· [FONT="]Must be efficient, reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision[/FONT]
