Hi every one i'm currently a student in my final year. For my final piece i am creating a demonic character and so far have only started with thumb nailing some silhouettes
7 actually seems the most powerful, readable-from-distance silhouette to me. Aside from the fact that he's pigeon-toed xD Try working with interior cut lines too! That might help inform the overall silhouette.
had a load of input from people on face book and these are now my final two
now to start with the basic base mesh and then follow some of the tips in Zbrush Digital sculpting humand anatomy by scott spencer to work that into a high poly sculpt.
any other tutorials you can think of that would be helpful let me know
Hey, You said base mesh is this going to be taken into, Zbrush or MudBox? as I have mainly done all my models in 3dsmax, i am just started to venture into sculpting, and would like to see how this turns out.
yer now the base mesh is finished then ill be moving into Zbrush to do the detailing, once the major details have been sculpted in ill use the poly painting tools to work in detail for the diffuse map and then unwrap which ill be working on tomorrow when i get back from uni.
Long time with no posting i'm afraid but finally got back around to working in zbrush again.
this is by no means finished but i thought an update would be good to see what people think.
Problems i know of already
hands need major re work
Where the horns come out need defining
Legs need more detail in to work with the model
Also thinking of adding a roughted up look to the helmet
Over all I think most of the anatomy is correct

5 as a head
spikes from 6
base from 8
that's my ideal demonic with these silhouettes.
