One possible solution to the rat's tail would be to simply stretch it out rather than leaving it tightly curved. If you look at the mad squirrel's tail, you'll notice that its movement can be handled with the 3 bones you already have for the tail.

For some reason, I want to call the blobs Inky, Blinky, and Clide...
If the engine can handle it, you might want to make the blobs shinier - more specular, certainly, but a subtle reflection would help as well. A slime trail would really help with the feeling that they are mostly liquid, but that might not be worth the effort for the camera view you're using. (You could do it with a modified footprint decal that's a circle or ellipse which shrinks as it fades.)
But... Then I take a look at that logo the "the" looks kinda displaced, it's breaking the flow and is getting lost... I know, the arrow is supposed to give a conterbalance, but for me it's not working very well. Beside that the logo is awesome, too!

Its fun : ) although I am looking forward to doing some more detailed work once I'm done with this project.
