Just finished up my most recent project: the XMF92 Dragonfly (working title). The project was created using Maya and Max for modeling, and UDK for rendering. I just woke up from a nap so I'm sure that I'm missing some info in here so if you have any questions feel free to ask! Criticism is appreciated, I really want to refine this guy.
I really like the design on this one. Great job man. The forms work nice together in my opinion. if i'd nitpick I comment that the logo on the tail fin look a little simple?
The cockpit looks as if it's not see through. My guess is there is no interior ^^ Maybe model an extremely simple inside and just hint at some see through material?
Another thing is that the model might be lacking some fine detail. Where is the fuel inserted into the model? Any wing details / rivets. Maybe some lights and / or antennas? Even though it's futuristic, a plane like that will still need those type of things (though the can be made to look futuristic
I'm not as experienced as many others here, but I'll take a stab at it.
I think the design looks wicked, the angles shape and silhouette are very unique, to me.
Judging by the thumbnails of the textures you provided you could have used more texture space? Maybe show a UV layout to better show how you're spreading your available texture space.
I think the canopy could use a cube map of some semblance of shininess or reflection to really pop.
The triangulation looks really messy to me.
As for presentation you're kind of half way there. If they were flying there would be a little motion blur, and whatever it's called when you can see the air trail on the wing tips.
Maybe have it stationary on a pedestal as if it is landed for a photo-op.
Those are my points.
Overall I think it's good but there's a few things missing to make it really good.
Thanks for all the replies, guys! I really appreciate it. All of these ideas are AWESOME. My next project for school is to make an architectural model and the plan was to model a landing pad outside of a Forward Operating Base or something like that, so there's the pedestal idea.
So now if you will excuse me, I'm going to go and apply all of these amazing ideas! Keep em' coming guys.
Can we see some shots of the under belly, got room under there for weapons?
Needs some more little details like weapons, perhaps small cannons embedded to either side of the nose, maybe a re-fueling system off to one side on the nose.
Wish HAWX allowed you to add custom aircrafts, I would totally rock this jet.

Great to hear! I'm actually drawing out futuristic-looking missiles and weapon systems as part of my next project that I will be mounting to the jet. So they're in the works. I'll post some concept images soon along with some underbelly shots.

Here's a wireframe, too!

Hope that helps! Keep it up man

Keep at it
The other thing i noticed is the lack of flaps for controling the movement of the aircraft
Hope this helps

Ace out.
