I know my problem is probably just some tiny oversight on my part, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.
I've rigged and animated a character (slime enemy) in Maya. Exported the FBX, which I imported into UDK. But when I try to play the animset only the root bone has any movement. No other bone moves. I've flipped through a few tutorials, but I've done what's there. The FBX animation plays fine when I load it up in Maya (not just the MB file).
I'd really appreciate any help.

How will this effect the character? How would I 'recompress' the animation? If the animation and skeleton are really simple, will it even matter?
