I really hope it doesn't lose any interactivity and detail as the second one. Its one of my favorite rpg's of all time.
Apparently, it's gonna be 20% larger than skyrim.
I can't wait to see what they do with this. I can't believe they are saying it will be 20% bigger than Skyrim. If they manage to make it look as good as Witcher 2 and meet that spec, my mind will be blown (even if that involves next gen tech).
The Witcher 2 blew me away, I can't wait until this one comes out.
Open world sounds excellent in theory but 20% larger than Skyrim sounds too huge. There's some screenshots of Geralt sailing Wind Waker style, so if a bunch is just water I could see how that would make it bigger.
Darn the only thing i dislike about this is having to wait haha. Really been looking forward to TW3 and the wild hunt ever since i finished TW2. Guess i'll be playing both version again myself as well. Make some different choices along the way.
CDProjket Red is possibly my favorite studio. They treat their fans right, make fantastic games, and have done nothing but improve the Witcher series with each release. I have no reason to believe that this game won't be amazing. Good bye 200 hours of my life. In 2014.
wow they did a great job with witcher 2s graphics and narrative but the gameplay has really frustrated me at times eg no potions in combat and bad instructions so you get lost or have odd situations that you werent prepared for.

I had some issues with that, I didn't realize you had a special sword for monsters, so I spent 20 minutes hacking at a group of enemies before they died.

yeah I spoke to a dude at a castle and then did a mission and found myself punching monsters because my swords had dissappeared, I had to look online to find out that my swords had been put in a box outside the castle while I was chatting to that dude
I also had an auto save point at the start of a boss battle but I needed to take a potion and couldnt so I kept loading my save and then died.. over and over again...until I found a godmode hack
This game will be a day-one buy for me. I hope to see a good CE version. The witcher 2 CE had a tiny and small coin compared to the huge a nice "coin" from AC3 CE.
good lord that looks fantastic!!! This is one of those games that I have been waiting for, I love the Witcher series, game play is awesome, and the art work is basically stunning. Those guys at Projekt CD Red are doing it up man... pre-order.
Hmm, as much as I like what CDPR (and PI) does, that fight sequence made me cringe. Has it become some kind of universal rule that combat can't be spectacular if it doesn't feature excessively dynamic camera movement and slow-mo moments that feel like they belong in B class action movies?

Well to be frank it was supposed to show supernatural abilities that witcher (as a mutant) poses. It was either slow-mo and rapid camera movments or Gerlat moving so fast that you couldn't possibly see what is going on.
Actually this trailer nailed very well what was written in books IMO.

I dunno thats pretty much what A class action movies do in my book...matrix, 300, gladiator etc all have those techniques. Id love it if you got to choose how to take down opponents in slowmo rather than just madly clicking the mouse but I have no idea how that could ever work. Really impressed by the whole witcher series so far to be honest.

During combat you build up an execution meter, when it's full you can trigger slowmo and killing blow boxes light up certain points like arms, legs, groin, throat, heart, head, whatever. You pick one out and Geralt kills them in a way that involves the point you chose.
Extended to boss fights, you can cripple them using the system, say it's a cyclops with a big ass hammer, you can hack their arm off to reduce it to using one arm resulting in slower attacks, blind it to make the attacks wilder but much less accurate, break it's legs to slow it down, etc.
Damn, I'm really excited for this one, it might be the first "real next-gen" title I actually play. Was that all in game? There was a few clips that probably weren't (At the start and the end), but it looks fucking great!
It seems like they really made an effort to improve the core gameplay mechanics of the franchise. TW2 was a huge improvement over the first game in terms of gameplay in my opinion, but it was still a turnoff for many, but this game looks incredible. I guess it's almost time for a hardware upgrade for me.
I wonder what kind of PC it'll take to run this game in ultra.... i'll prbly get it on ps4... but man.. it won't look like that i am sure.
Can't wait to see a demo running on consoles.
heh my PC can BAREEEELY play the second game on ultra settings but this game is going to shatter the adverturing/rpg/MMO espectations of anyone who oplays it

Yep and I'll probably play it twice!

The last video is very cool.
Do we know who did the cinematic?

...It's not going to happen, is it. Great to see them bring she and Yennifer in finally, anyway.
Would be pretty awesome if she was playable yeah.
Awesome trailer.
