Normal Issue...Nothing is getting rendered

Im having an issue in max where after setting up my asset to get rendered, when I actually hit render nothing happens. No window pops up, nothing. The screen doesnt change at all except the bottom left of the screen says texture baking complete.

The cage is set up for projection mapping and all that stuff so I have no idea what could be the cause of this. Heres a screen of my render to texture settings... If anyone could offer any help that would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure why you're not getting a render frame window. But you're saving the normal map as a JPG which is a bad idea, because JPG uses lossy compression, so you'll get blocky shading artifacts. Better to save to TGA.

Also it's best to initially set the render size to something small, like 256x256, so you can quickly test what's working vs. not working.

What happens when you press F9 (regular Render)? Do you see a rendered frame window? If not, it might be offscreen.

Ill use a TGA from now on then. I do usually start with a smaller size and it worked when I was in those stages, but when I got back to working on it today it no longer would do anything. the f9 works fine and I checked and the window isnt off screen. Its quite a problem. Thank you for the suggestions though

I just exported it and reimported and it worked fine...after all my trouble I guess something simple worked out

copy the projection model and use that for baking instead.
