Project Awakened - Kickstarter

Good morning fellow Polycounters,

Many of you may be familiar with Project Awakened, which leaked on Kotaku a while back. Most of the team from former Midway have been working on setting up a pitch for a spiritual successor to the former Hero title, and we've just posted it on Kickstarter. There are many reasons why we chose Kickstarter which I won't dive into.

However I do appreciate anyone who would help us spread the word of Project Awakened on facebook, to their friends and family. And by all means, by developer to developer, if you would like to pledge you have our gratitude.

Hope that doesn't inadvertently affect your "creative high"

I remember stumbling across the images from the game on the phosphor website a while back...was wondering what was going on with that.

My opinion, for the 2 cents it's worth, is that upon taking 5-10 minutes to read the pitch and watch the video, my impression is of being somewhat overwhelmed. Not to be sarcastic but it's like you can be anyone, and do anything, in any environment. I realize it's an ambitious project, but you may need to package it in a more digestible form for potential funders to really latch onto it.

not sure if its possible but I think it would be great to get the player character creator made into a stand alone that people can download and fiddle with to help illustrate just how free it is.

I was thinking the same thing. They never once explained the story. I would have invested if they would have explained the story, everything else got me hooked.

Yes, There will very much be a backstory to it all, though I am not at liberty to disclose any stage or detail of it.
