I'm trying to get my head around lowpoly in general - I do know many technical stuff, never actually got around to using them.

Not a character/creature artist but I made this two days back and I would like all the c&c you can muster as I go along

Is that supposed to be the entire skeleton of the creature? It looks far too simple, and it also looks very mechanical/machined. More like part of a robot.

it's missing few parts, was kinda aiming for a character that mutated over the years into superior than human type of a being with others

slow day but progress is here - next up will be rib and spine like bones, and rough definition of an overall shape

do you want to do a low-poly? because right now it looks like you got some subdividing going on in your mesh.

I'd say you're getting a little ahead of yourself and need to go back and do preliminary sketches and concepting before going ahead and modeling individual bones. You've also skipped the basic blockout stage. Sketch up a creature, then sketch more creatures and turn those sketches into better sketches of the creature you want to make, then rough in larger forms in 3D, see how it reads. Don't rush the process, and certainly don't start with the details. Noone makes a human character by starting with the toes and working from there. I'd also recommend using a sculpting program like ZBrush (if you have it) or Sculptris for a 'creature'.

@ fab-camp - wanted to go from high poly to low poly - this being a high poly mesh

@kartoonhead - I know what you mean, and I agree. Just wanted to see can I do it in two weeks time, but I can always get back to initial stage. I did however make few more things. About sculpting, I have Mudbox, but never really used it at a professional level - will have to invest hard hours into it.

I wanted to create a skeleton for use as a prop (dead creature) and as a base for the body which as an organic mutated future thing looks integrated...
