Hey polycount! I'm currently working on a concept image for a character i'm designing, and maybe i can get some input from you guys. Hopefully it keeps you intrigued as well.

To start off, a pose. wanted to make it pretty dramatic/drastic, the arms are much longer then usual but other then that its human proportions.

I think you're spending a bit too much time making the concept pretty, rather than spending that time on playing with different concepts/ideas/approaches. For example, the muscle-fiber-detail is not really that important to draw in, nor is the hair. By comparison, look how (deliciously) simple and minimal the strokes are on this piece by Makkon:

Might I add in Soul Reaver to Ravanna list. That's the feeling I'm getting from looking at your concept.
