Hey
Right now im have decided to work on my texture skills. They are pretty bad right now.
I have modelled a chair and im about to texture it, and I have found a reference
My questions is, how to get the texture on the legs like the ones on the images?
I have tried to blend (dont work), then I tried to use at images (dont work), so I hope you guys would like to help me with some tips and tricks?

I assume you are trying to get the worn paint look?
The second images is erasing
yeah its the worn paint look im looking for
The color gets less saturated in the more worn areas like the legs.
Creating good textures involves a lot of painting, you can't just rely on overlays.
how does it looks?
A technique i use when doing worn paint on different surfaces is to use the magic tool in PS with a low tolerance i used between 4 and 6 in the paint over. select on the wood grain layer, and on a new layer paint in a solid colour. use blending modes, saturation or what have you to get the feel right.
Basically i had 2 layers here for the paint, one more of a stained wood, from where the paint is all but gone but its pigment remained and then a layer where the paint was still there.
your source texture for the wood grain, is a bit blurry too, i assumed to up scaled it here. get a better resolution source texture for better results.
I choosed to use 4 in tolerance, but when I add a new layer and fill it with a solid red it looks weird.
Also try desaturate the duplicated layer, and play around with the magic tools values.
Now I just have to tweak it
thank you.
but I still dont get why it is so blurry?
