I'm a bit of an architecture nerd so it might just be me being fussy, but if you look at the way the roofs meet the building in the photo, they are tucked in behind the walls. The way you have built it with projecting eaves makes the church look Mediterranean rather than gothic.

and sort out the smoothing on the columns!

Also, (roofs roofs roofs!) in your third image you seem to have quite a chunky roof tile when the building in question has a slate tile roof which is practically flat. You roof looks more like terracotta tiles, again pushing the building towards a Mediterranean feel.

looking pretty good so far dude. Are you going to take the pieces into Zbrush ? and are you building it in a modular fashion ?

ha-ha yea the roof has been a bit up and down i think maybe when i finish making the guttering etc it may fit a bit more fingers crossed lol. first attempt at something like this so want it to be good enough for portfolio. i cant seem to solve the column issue, i have changed smoothing groups so i may just try remodeling them.
i should make the point its been made as a game environment so limit is 30,000 tris currently on 22,000 and 2048x2048 texture space overall lol so them windows may be displacement mapped if it works. yea i think zbrush will be the next step when i finish which i do look forward to :). i just dont know how im gonna add snow i have tried on there but still not quite got the hang of it.

Thanks For the replies guys :)
any more comments would be brilliant
