Hello! This will be my first competition and I'm quite excited with the experience.
I will post my work in progress soon, I wanted to register myself in the competition first. I wish luck to everyone, thank you all! ^^
Thank you! I'm posting the concept sketch of what will be my model, still thinking about some things to add/change though, would like to know your thoughts on it if possible ^^
Hello and thanks Dryulya Im glad to hear it^^
Im a bit late posting the work in progress because due to some circumstances I do not have internet at home right now =s ...
but yeah this is whats comming out so far, any thoughts or advices would be much appreciated as always, thank you everyone =D
I havent been able to post anything because I was in the hospital for a few days...but here's my work up to that day ^^ (legs dont have the final texture yet).
I know this will sound like newbie question but its never too late or early to learn so I wanted to ask, to pass the model to mixamo and then to houdini should I put on mixamo with the clothes or add them after in houdini (animating just the body in mixamo)?
You would rig and animate your character without the clothing in Mixamo and then do your cloth setup in Houdini. If you are going to edit your animation, you would also do that before doing your cloth sim.
As Chewy said: it's always more efficient to upload your character without clothes/tails/wings/hair if you'd like to Auto-Rig it. Makes for better results. Cheers.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help! On my way to learn Houdini now so I can put some materials and the 'ex-particle' hair back on my model before doing the first cloth tests =P
Im having a little problem sending from mixamo to houdini my animated file and was hoping I could get some help if possible. Although in mixamo everything was looking good, once I import the fbx file to houdini however I get this...
I was unable to finish unfortunately, I was having a few problems and difficulties making pieces of the outfit (armor and such) following the right path of the animation and I got too delayed to be able to catch up, this only proves I still have got too much to learn before I can participate in such events.
However I do not regret it as I have learned a lot from it and thanks to everyone who has helped me! Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate, I had a great time!
Congratulations to everyone that has finished and good luck to all that are under judging now !!
