Hello everyone. This thread will feature my assignment for the class 'Character for Games', taught by Jackson Robinson (at Gnomon School of Visual Effects).
I know... i know... this might sound familiar- all my ( awesome! ) classmates have been lurking around here recently.
For my project I chose a great looking character concept by Mike Franchina (
http://aphinc.blogspot.com/)
Just to be clear, he's totally cool with it, and of course this is just for learning purposes, I will not be making money off of this.
My goal with this project is to keep the poly count fairly low, and maintain the painterly style of the concept.
(constructive) criticism is always welcome!
cheers!
Moran.

I named her Gladys--
She used to have a huge crush on this (oh so cute) guy, whom she used to... hm.... watch. A lot. As he slept. Through his bedroom window. While sitting in a tree.
Through an unfortunate turn of events (something related to trying to balance a full sized cauldron on top of a tree), she suffered a fatal fall, which left her rather, well- dead.
Not letting an insignificant detail such as mortality stop her, she is now a love struck zombie, wondering around, searching for her true love- the kind of guy who appreciates a good sense of humor, a positive approach to life, and doesn't mind the occasional smell of rotting flesh.
This is just the preliminary stage, blocked her silhouette using Maya and ZBrush.
Next will be a higher res mesh with additional detail.
Oh I wrote my response to your question about posting images in the other thread but I'll leave it here as well. "you upload your image files on to an image hosting site like Photobucket. And when you write your post, you go to "insert image" then paste the link."
first thing's first: original concept reuploaded
