Cloth physics in udk?

About apex cloth in udk,can one paint the max distances,latch to nearest in udk or u need to do that in Maya before exporting to udk?

I will be starting a new project soon with udk and will be starting a thread here for inputs on how I can get better.

Last time I worked with cloth, it had to come in pre-painted via Max/Maya as Unreal does not let you do that. I'm not sure if that has changed, but I'm going to guess it hasn't.

You need to paint all that in your 3d package and then bring all that data in as an .apx file in to unreal, and assign it to the cloth assets in your skeletal mesh.
