For those of you that use MARI for texturing that might be of interest.

Mari Ideas is a place where users can submit feature requests. The community votes on them and the most popular ones bubble to the top.

This is giving the team at the Foundry an idea what big features are in demand but also pad the feature lists with small additions, that otherwise might not be considered.

All new ideas get logged into the Foundry Database periodically - nothing gets lost in the depths of a forum thread


Some Stats (always good)

- 263 ideas posted to date
- 38 ideas were integrated in official releases in 2012
- users include artists from major studios like Pixar, Dreamworks, DD, Weta, Dneg, Framestore etc.

(as you can see it's heavily Film biased - we would benefit from some game perspective)

I love mari and I love this site Anyone who can try out mari really should. It's an amazing piece of software and has come a long way in terms of being game friendly. (It now supports overlapping uvs! yay!)
