Hey everyone, I'm a currently a student at Gnomon School of VFX and am training to get into the game industry. In this thread, I'll be posting my progress on my project for my class: Character for Games. I've always wanted to design a character and take it from concept to finished asset, so I'm going to make my first honest attempt at it! Any thoughts, feedback, or suggestions along the way are much appreciated. I'm really looking forward to getting involved in the community!

thanks for the feedback! a few others have also told me the same thing. good thing is that i can mess around with the colors pretty easily. i'm still pretty undecided on which color schemes look best, so the textures and colors are very well subject to change.
This is a sculpt I love for that very reason:

J-Fletches sculpt is awesome, but there is a long road between having a nice looking render in zbrush and having a successful real time character in game. You could have a beautiful sculpt but the same design in game could turn out completely different.
Play up the contrast that the skin plays on the "one color" and the interesting shapes that the make. Well designed forms are much stronger than a nice texture map.
quick update on my hi-res. not really happy with the skirt yet. i'm going to tweak it a bit.
hey thanks!
i made blockout models for all of her clothes and armor in maya first and then popped them into zbrush.
edit: here's an update on my high res sculpt
