Greetings folks,
I've been working on a
personal project for a while now and I've got some demand on making a tutorial for the DX9 ocean shader that I created for it. Since I got some free time recently I kicked this off, and hope you find it useful.

The plan is to have 5 parts, and then once it's all finished I will supply all source files which you can use freely in your projects (would be cool if you can credit me
).
I'd appreciate it if other technical artists build off of the final version and share improved versions of it with the community since UDK doesn't offer a decent flexible ocean solution. My ocean was built to fit my needs, but it should be flexible enough to fit others, but still there can be more room for improvements. So either send me an e-mail or just simply post your work in this thread and I'll update accordingly.
Hope you guys find this useful.

For the time beeing im just using vertex colors. But it would be nice to have something moore procudural.
Are you using DX11+Tesselation for the waves or regular sin waves in DX9 ?
Btw, as long as i have you here, some of us are still looking forward to a certain scene exporter for Max, just saying...
@Minato: That's coming up next right after I finish these tutorial series.
Glad my tutorial was of use to you and the all folks out there.
