The Senior Game Designer is responsible for the creative success of all titles he oversees. As a Senior Game Designer, you will work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, and Senior Producer to develop successful top-notch game designs on all levels of detail. As the Senior Game Designer on a title, you are responsible for the game design from concept to completion from level designs and core gameplay features to balancing and final tweaking of the game. This includes setting up efficient and smooth design processes and pipelines.
Responsibilities
Primary:
Work on existing game concepts as well as designing and pitching new concepts
Collaborate with the development studio and other department leads and appropriate teams in order to create, adjust and realize game aspects and content ideas
Guide and/or mentor junior staff members of the design team
Communicate and share the game idea with the team, gather and consider feedback and make adjustments as necessary
Create and maintain thorough Game Design Documents throughout the games production
Cooperate with the producers in order to set and meet deadlines and milestones
Create inspiring new game ideas
Secondary:
Support the producers and development director in business development, portfolio management and positioning of games
Be an active part of keeping up a positive culture of trust and empowerment
Be proactive in supporting the departments growth with your expertise, ideas, and drive in all areas
Interact positively and effectively with employees at all levels within the organization, as well as with customers, prospects, and vendors
Monitor market trends, stay on top of technological developments, and prepare these for knowledge sharing within the department

Requirements
This position is open for experienced creative professionals from the gaming industry or other related fields:
Primary skills and abilities:
Bachelor or Master degree in any field, preferably with an entertainment- or business-related focus
Track record of proven successes, at least three years of professional game development experience and one AAA-title (shipped) in the video game industry
Passion for video games across multiple genres and platforms
Extensive knowledge of game design principles and methodologies
Strong interpersonal skills, team player, and self-starter
