is this based on a concept design? maybe you should make some sketches of something cool! or put together a style sheet or something. modeling from the top of your head rarely gets amazing results.
also try not to tell people that it's your homework. unless you show more ambition, then call it a student project. calling it homework sounds like you are just making it for a cheap grade.

Anyways, I think the basic shapes are okay, but since you've already pushed into color, it all feels a bit too flat still with the red hues. Mix it up! Add more hues, cheat shadows / lights. Think of it like a painting.
I'm also wondering if it is bad/good/intentional that you do not have the membrane between the legs.

I thinking about coloring the eyes in the different color / more natural color, should I just leave it like it is right now or change the eyes completly in its color?
