well i want to be part of this competition .i don't know anything about Houdini other than its an amazing procedural piece of software, so i got to hurry up and pick up some knowledge about cloth and the mantra render in Houdini .

i think, the head is a tick to big...
,i agree with u the head is a bit too big ,i had kinda the same idea about a Chinese kimono fighter,i will c what i can do
It's looking terribly lumpy/noisy though. I'd recommend going in with some kind of planar/flatten or equivalent brush and simplifying the shapes before softening it up again with smoothing. Also, lots of reference!
finally i got some free time so i did a little bit of work on the model and i think its almost done just got some more detail and im thinkig to add a weapon on him im thinking about a huge vega claws (from street fighter)
ill be puting more detail on the armor but aft6er that i will to start working on topology soon
for me the horns are a little bit too swirled (to round), but thats only my opinion!

Are you going to add any thickness to your cloth elements? If so, I'm curious how you'll handle that.

not sure if i will add thinckness to all the cloth parts .
if i do it will have to be very small ,and i think ill just use the polyextrude node followed by a smooth node on top of the cached cloth and that will do it
and i might resim the cloth and change the collision thickness parameter if it does intersect when i add thickness
I plan on doing the same, just not sure if I can pull it off.

not sure if i wanna add the eyes or just give him some red or blue glowing evil eyes will c,
and i think i m done with the simulation and texturing ill just have to finish tightening up everything and render high res video and move to render the posed still image . does anybody knows how to render sperate passes in houdini
because i dont know how to do it
