So a few of us entered the IndieSpeedRun challenge (make a full game in 48 hours). The ISR people have just opened the doors to a month of playing and voting..keep in mind these were all made in 48 hours, with random themes delivered to everyone at the start..should be a lot of downright wacky things in there!
EDIT: Please take a moment to give some the polycounters some love. No signup is required to vote or play. Please pass these links around to friends/coworkers!
Don't worry yet ambershee--they aren't done yet uploading everything. They have said there'll grant a 'time delay bonus' to all entries that they didn't get to upload today, so it should offset being unable to get votes today somewhat. If you don't see it tomorrow though, then I'd ping them on twitter or email.
So the ISR feed just announced they got all the games up and running, Ambershee. I'd check now--if you don't see it posted, email them: info --at -- indiespeedrun. And post a link in here so we can try it!
Wow. I've been going over some of the entries and I'm amazed how good they look given the timeline. My team got our project done with 15 minutes to spare, and its full of bugs, lacks any finesse, and looks rough as sandpaper. But we finished under time and that's all we wanted to challenge ourselves to do.
Maybe we can make a list of all the entries just to see who did what?
Good idea, commandor, I edited the first post with all our games. Did I miss anyone? I'll give you two's games a try in a bit. Also, I made some footage of mine on youtube, for mac users or those who are disinclined to download/install a game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dYxyQ7mTbE
