Hi everyone, i have recently been thinking of changing my focus from character modelling to character rigging and was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on the matter. I am about to start my final semester of university and have done a lot of modelling, but not nearly as much rigging.
Firstly could anyone tell me about their experiences as a character rigger/TD? Also are there any books or other learning materials on rigging that you would recommend?

Theres a nice 4 part series of rigging an Ogre in Max, I thought it was by Paul Neale but can't find a link.
I actually haven't done much rigging, just finished my first character rigging module at uni and actually quite enjoyed it (despite a rather bad outcome due to my own bad work practices). I've done a lot of modelling related modules and at first seemed to enjoy them, however my performance in modelling has been lacking as of late. I used to be an artistic person, but i guess became more technical years ago, so it sometimes feel like i'm forcing myself to be artistic again in regards to modelling. To be honest i'm still pondering the decision. I guess i'm just looking for some guidance.
