An attempt to hybridize anime and some other style. I like his general design, that he's supposed to look mysterious, questioning the big deal behind his over-sized costume.
Character info:
This white-haired teenager is an avatar of a fictional game's game content manager/administrator AI. He is soft-spoken, calm, and likes to watch players and human-controlled moderator avatars like working ants.
INITIAL POST:
I'd like to really try out doing a mid-poly or a high-poly character out of this contest.
Question, what if the character I happen to own is actually planned to be in own media, to be exact, in a light novel in progress? I still own him, even though Mixamo might have a chance to purchase my character design?

About your question, if you hold the rights to the concept you'd like to use for your entry, then it isn't an issue and you are free to do so.
Looking forward to seeing it, actually. Good luck to you.
Make sure to click the register button on the official page and provide at least your name, WIP post URL, and Mixamo login or associated email.
That way, we can make sure you have free access to Mixamo and Houdini services for your contest project. Cheers!
So far, no semi-realistic and/or anime/realism-hybrid styled entries yet. I might do it first.

Got your email: you're all set. No polycount maximum and no minimum either. Up to you to make it work. Have fun!

Besides the excessive belts, and large zippers, or any style that Nomura is known for?
The sockets-on-the-clothing idea, I admit, is based from Kamen Rider Dragon Knight:
