Hi guys,
just a quick question;
I'm currently working on some portfolio work in the holidays before i return to my final semester for uni. I enjoy all aspects of 3d and am doing both environment and character; and the base mesh i've created previously wasn't the best; but would like my model to be the best it can possibly be.
It is beneficial to use a simple base mesh to create characters with, obviously aslong as the creator is credited, as I know that in industry theres a collection of different proportional meshes available to the artists;
Cheers for the feedback.

You can also create your own fairly easily, and it would be a good learning exercise to boot. Either way is acceptable, but using someone else's base mesh doesn't demonstrate your own skills as much, since the credit isn't all you.
