Baby Steps.

Yo. This is my first time posting art in P&P.

To make a long story short, I managed to sculpt 13 characters for a project I've started in my spare time. Before I start polypainting and retop, I figure it's probably a good idea to check the silhouettes once more and get feedback on them. Just to make sure everything reads okay.

... And that's when I became curious. I began to wonder just how much information we can glean from a character's silhouette. Well, I just so happen to have a collection of character silhouettes here (at more-or-less the angle they'd be seen on-screen), so now's as good a time as any to find out.

So, I'd like your assistance. Below, I've labeled the silhouettes of the characters and their weapons/equipment from A to M. I've also included a number of questions that I'd like answered based solely on the silhouettes in the image. I'll be the first to admit that some questions may be totally difficult to answer considering the lack of visual information. That's the point. The questions are divided into several categories: simple, ranking, and advanced.

Without further ado:



Simple Questionnaire

1. Which characters’ silhouettes are the most visually interesting (maximum of 3)?
2. Which characters’ silhouettes are the least visually interesting (maximum of 3)?
3. If these were characters in a head-to-head game, which one would you pick?

Rankings

1. Please rank the characters by perceived physical strength (strongest to weakest).
2. Please rank the characters by perceived speed (fastest to slowest).
3. Please rank the characters by perceived affluence (richest to poorest).
4. Please rank the characters by perceived age (oldest to youngest).
5. Please rank the characters by perceived masculinity (masculine to feminine).
6. Please rank the characters by perceived authority (most to least).

Advanced Questionnaire

1. Which character has the most interesting equipment/weapons?
2. Which character is the badass?
3. Which character is the oddball?
4. Which character is the goody two-shoes?
5. Which character looks the most graceful?
6. Which character looks the clumsiest?
7. Which character looks to be the most annoying to fight against?
8. Which characters are hand-to-hand specialists (maximum of 4)?
9. Which characters specialize in long-range skirmishes (maximum of 4)?
10. Which characters specialize in mid-range skirmishes (maximum of 4)?

Any other thoughts?

   1. E, D, H, Lots of different possibilities my mind can see in these. Some of the others I can tell what's up without much thought.

For anyone else who may be daunted by the amount of typing, in terms of importance, the questions are prioritized as follows:

"Simple" (MUST-HAVE info)
"Advanced" (Good info to have)
"Rankings" (would be nice info to have, but not as important as the other two)

If you're pressed for time, even the bare minimum (the Simple Questionnaire) is a big help.
