[Max] Optimal Hotkeys?

I'm clueless as to why Max doesn't have any default hot-keys and I know I wont be coming up with the most optimal set-up with my knowledge.

Does anyone know of a .kbdx (ui shortcut extension) out there that is considered the best?

Honestly I would be happy if someone just uploaded theirs because that would be better then nothing.

it does come with default hotkeys, just some tools dont have hotkeys you you need to bind them your self.

would be rather pointless for someone experienced with max to upload theres too, since they prolly work in a differnt way, and prolly also use tools and scripts not in a stock max install.

It seems like MOST tools don't have default hotkeys. I'm looking for a user with experience that might have recommended binds.

Perhaps they work differently but there are plenty of tools that everyone uses.

Personally i hot key things like connect, loop, ring, the snap tool ect.
What do you use most when using MAX? do you find you use a certain modifier on a regular basis? like turbo smooth maybe?

Most tools do have default hot-keys, but I wouldn't recommend hot keys for speeding up your workflow, the default keys should take you far enough,what I would do if I were you is to build a custom toolbar, so you can hit turbosmooth FFD etc all off one bar, I keep my most commonly used modifiers there and it really speeds things up opposed to using the scroll down menu.

Isnt that kinda like asking, whats the optimal looking clothes. Isnt it up to your personal preference?

This is timely since I'm going through this with Modo at the moment. I just reset everything to the defaults and started trying to make stuff. I paid attention to how I worked and if I found myself going for a certain function a lot, I moved it to a hot key. After a day or so, I had a pretty nice set up of hot keys and short cuts and can now get around much quicker.

That's how I suggest you approach it. Hot keys will always be a personal thing and there's no way around it other than putting in the time to see what you need.

Is there a way to bind two commands to the same hotkey? When you're in specific Selection Modes or Dialogues it seems practical.

Also why is there no hotkey for bridge

in cases like that I would make a maxscript and bind it to a key since than I could have it do different things based on the selection type and what is currently selected. pretty easy to get info about the selection and string a few if and then statements to the key.
