Hello.
I'm working on a model and sudenly I ran into the next problem:
that was the last time the file was working ok.
Added a few planes to the hair but when imported to UDK part of the hair is missing and the vextex count is almost double at this point.
Now is all messed up, there is no hair planes and part of the body mesh is gone too.
the file in maya is still ok.
I reinstalled the fbx plugin and it makes no difference at all (also installed an older version)
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

since for uv spilts and hardedged smoothing to work in udk, it actully needs ti duplicate verts so they can have 2 vertex normals, or have 2 uv's associated with them.
