Hey Polycount,
Im posting here to show you the development progress along the way and get some feedback on the art and the gameplay etc. of our first game as a team.
So for now the only thing we can show you is a small in-game image but a video of the first tutorial level is on its way.
We will soon show you some of the art/models/animations that we have done.

We did a quick in-editor video to show you the 2 main robots of our game. The red one is a ''clean'' robot that is try to help the blue one that is damaged a little bit.
The idle animations are not recorded yet but we'll post an update with them ASAP.

Now that doesn't mean that I don't like what you've got. I just think you're going to hear this a lot.
Although I do like the clean look of things, the lights located on every asset are distracting, it's going to be hard to make focal points -- That being said, every "sci fi" piece I see from new artists or amatures screams "I JUST DESCOVERED IMMISIVE MAPS!!!" I personally don't like, and see it WAY too often, It's almost a cliche rookie thing.
Sorry if it sounds harsh.
@OtrickP: Thanks for the comment. We know there is a lot of emissive in that specific level but as I said we plan on changing the style as the game progress. With the QA testing that we have done so far we noticed that the players were going and paying attention to the good ''focal points'' cause we use some of the emissive to lead the players. This is a art decision and not a rookie kind of thing. But we sure keep your comment in mind and we'll post some other progress anyway.
Thanks
It's definitely not "insanely similar to Portal." The art style is different, the mechanic is different, and I'm sure the story is different. I find it sad that every first-person/in this case third-person puzzle game coming out now gets compared to Portal.
From what you've shown it's looking pretty good. Looking forward to more.

Sorry, but it had nothing to do with the FPS/Puzzle aspect. It's the shapes of the robots, and the color schemes. That clean/sterile white room look and round shaped robots. I'm not judging game play because I haven't played it. This forum is predominantly art based so I was directing my critiques as such.
