Hi guys
Anyone run in to this problem where importing an Maya created FBX in to Max turns up invisible once imported? It renders fine, but just doesnt show up in the viewports.
triangle counts, materials, all contents of the file is there, but its just invisible in the viewport.
Maya 2011

iv tried converting to editable poly.
iv tried applying another material to it, same thing.
Weird thing is it renders fine...
are you maybe importing on a hidden layer? I had the problem that max decided to import on the previous layer instead of the one I just choose.
im importing it in a clean new scene, shouldnt be on any layers
In the FBX import options try setting a new namespace (file name) and uncheck Preserve references. Maybe the Maya export is linking to a bunch of stuff that is messing up the import in Max
nathdevlin, im using FBX in the file import type in max (and in maya file export type obviously)
