I have never got a chance to make a thread about it since I was waiting for someone to make it. But yes, there should be a thread about Arrow the TV-Show. Its based on the life of Olver Queen (DC comics.)
It's about to start on Australian television. Looks heavy on the teen angst. The preview ads I've seen don't actually give any indication that there's anything super-heroic about it at all, which is kind of bizarre.
Been watching this, enjoying it so far. Some of the fight choreography in the first couple of episodes seemed a little weak, but much better in the later episodes.
This and Elementary is pretty much all I watch on TV now.
This came on around the same time as Last Resort and I have to say that I prefer Arrow (even if Last Resort is probably better written).
Also, has anyone noticed how Oliver Queen is always one level of smug more than he should be at the point?
His 'neutral' face is a smirk and his unhappy face is just less of a smirk... :P
I'm enjoying it! It's not too deep or anything, but it's a good action show. I was expecting something more like Smallville, which was mostly just a soap opera with maybe one terribly choreographed fight scene thrown in once per season. So it's a pleasant surprise to see a show like this on that network that does have a decent amount of action.
I've been watching and enjoying it. I like the arc that he's taking. He's not a hero at all, basically hell bent on revenge against a select group of individuals, but as the season progresses he's becoming less of a vigilante and more like the green arrow we all know. Pretty good so far.
not a big comic guy myself so don't know the "story" behind Green Arrow... just watch the first few eps and it feels like a budgeted version of the dark knight, i'll pop it on while im working as its not too terrible
Okay, so this is a bit of a necro post, wasn't sure if I should make a new thread. But how's everyone liking Arrow? I think it's gotten better. I really liked Deathstroke in this season even though the super serum was a little meh.
Watched the show from the very start. The early episodes are a bit rocky but i recommend sticking with it as it can be quite corny at times, especially Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) as he appears a little too rigid, but its just him getting use to the role.
The strong part of the series for me has to be the flashbacks to the island that is cleverly spliced throughout each episode.
Thanks for the link! Looks awesome, definitely makes me hopeful.
I like the flashback sequences in arrow, but it's getting a bit ridiculous at this point. I mean, I was rolling my eyes when they revealed Sarah was still alive and is black widow. Now he met Amanda Waller previously as well? It just starts to get a bit ridiculous how literally everyone he interacted with on the island ends up in his city.
And yep! caught the Harley reference, that was pretty cool but I doubt we'll see much from it.
always thought he would tie back into the arrow and date the one girl, wasn't expecting him to get his own series but im glad, gives me another show to add to my watch list

It seems like both series are going to be crossed from time to time.

it's better than smallville by a long long way.

I'll give it a few more episodes before writing it off but I hold little hope.
I'll still watch it though
Also nice to see Colin Salmon getting some screen time, he's badass.
What did everyone think of the Flash promo?
