In the colored version your not getting those ugly edges around the outline of your model in the grey, otherwise looks nice.

hmmm i think the lack of saw blade is killing the lancer feel.

if you were to go fully retro, i'd suggest combining a heavy machine gun with an actual chainsaw... proper jerry rigged together.

Urm GIR in Gears 3 there is a retro lancer that has a blade instead of the chainsaw, this is a remake of that item.
